CWK Principal Consultant

Wood is recruiting for a Principal Ornithology Consultant to support the Environmental Consultancy team in Khobar, Saudi Arabia on NEOM Program. This position is fulltime and will be based remotely.

JOB OBJECTIVE

 

This is a Consultant level position responsible for managing delivery of complex studies and reports

Manages preparation and checks technical content of proposals, reports, customer correspondence, internal documents and other deliverables

Provides technical reviews for complex elements of the project within area of expertise

Act as leading expert/consultant in Ornithology

Directs other professionals, scientists and technical staff, as needed

The incumbent will typically have a high level of customer management responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and Contribute to Workshop advising Design Teams
• Analyse Design options and advise on potential collision risk and mitigation measures
• Experience with Ornithological Migration
• Perform specified studies to around collision risk and mitigation
• Participate as part of an Advisory panel
• Utilize knowledge/experience to produce mitigation options studies
• Ad-hoc studies as required

Qualifications: 

• ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in relevant science discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence 
• Membership of a relevant professional association.

• Extensive experience and accomplishments resulting in recognition as a technical resource for the entire company in a particular field
• Supervisory experience with and understanding of human relations, training, performance 
  evaluation and health and safety 
• Demonstrates leadership skills and ability to effectively manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials etc.) 
• Demonstrated ability and contribution to successful engineering project outcomes are given
