Job Purpose

The Systems Engineer will provide technical support, system administration, and automation solutions for enterprise collaboration platforms. The role includes troubleshooting, workflow design, scripting, and integration to ensure optimal system performance. Candidates will also participate in on-call rotations and actively monitor support channels to maintain system reliability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Atlassian Suite Administration: Configure, manage, and maintain Jira and Confluence instances, including user administration, permissions, workflows, and performance optimization.
• Slack Workspace Management: Oversee Slack administration, including channel organization, user lifecycle management, and security enforcement.
• Bonita BPM Support: Maintain and support the Bonita platform to ensure seamless business process automation.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for collaboration tools, managing incidents and resolving user access or performance issues.
• Custom Scripting & Automation: Create Groovy (or Java) scripts for Jira customization and Python scripts for automation and integration tasks.
• Slack Integrations: Develop and maintain Slack integrations using APIs and bot frameworks to streamline communication and automate workflows.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Produce and maintain knowledge base articles, user guides, and operational documentation.
• On-Call Rotation & Monitoring: Participate in on-call duties and monitor system health to ensure prompt issue resolution during off-hours.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience administering Jira, Confluence, and Slack in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Groovy (or Java) for Jira customization and Python for automation/integration.
• Practical knowledge of workflow and BPM concepts, with preference for Bonita experience.
• Experience with databases (administration, troubleshooting, backend management).
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS administration and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

• Familiarity with authentication systems (SSO, SAML, Active Directory/LDAP).
• Understanding of web infrastructure (e.g., nginx, web servers).
• Experience with REST APIs and webhooks for integrations.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, Generative AI, and prompt engineering.
