Who We Serve   

Pacific Clinics serves children, transitional age youth, families, adults, and older adults. We offer a full range of mental and behavioral health services, foster care and social services, housing, continuing adult education and early childhood education programs to Medi-Cal eligible individuals and families throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Placer, Riverside, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Solano, Stanislaus, Stockton, Tulare and Ventura Counties.

POSITION SUMMARY

Primary supervision of clinical hours located in the various divisions of Pacific Clinics and the administrative duties will be assigned to the Program Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Knowledge of current theories, principles, and practices for services to consumers with serious behavioral health care symptoms and diagnoses.
  •  Provides weekly individual and group supervision to MSW interns addressing clinical issues and monitoring progress notes, Clinical Documentation, according to Quality Improvement and Compliance (QIC) and Department of Mental Health (DMH) requirements, in collaboration with the site director.
  •  Completes ongoing performance reviews and the required training documentation for interns from their respective graduate programs.
  •  Assists Director of Social Work in co-leading and facilitating training and periodic presentations and supervision forums on core clinical issues in treatment, including, consumer engagement, clinical management of emergencies, case conceptualization, and related clinical prime requisites.
  •  Plan, supervise, review, and evaluate the clinical work hours of staff.
  •  Provides supervision for MSW's requiring licensure hours.
  •  Consultation and hands-on interventions for clinicians needing help with difficult cases, as needed will be assigned to the Program Director.
  •  Completes special clinical projects as may be determined by senior management.
  •  Attends and participates in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
  •  Travelling between regions to office locations as needed.
  •  Interacts with other internal programs, clinical/support staff, and external sources such as school or community personnel as applicable.
  •  Ensures the timely submission of all performance appraisals, new hire and termination paperwork and other employee status changes including informing the Human Resources Department of employee leaves, work-related injuries, and employee incidents.
  •  Communicates effectively in a culturally competent and diverse consumer population and promotes favorable interaction with managers, co-workers, and others.
  •  Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance.
  •  Models Pacific clinics’ approach, mission and core values in all communication and correspondence.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned.
