Amazon Web Services is expanding in the U.S. Public Sector market, and the Education team within Amazon offers a creative, fast paced, entrepreneurial work environment where you’ll be at the center of Amazon innovation for administrators, faculty, researchers, and students.
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Sales Representative to focus on Research 1 (R1) Higher Education institutions in Central and North Florida. The ideal candidate has sales experience in this vertical with a terrific reputation for overachieving quota while focusing on the customer. They should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory plan and consistently deliver on quarterly targets. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level, as well as, with IT architects and leaders. The Enterprise Sales Representative will be an exceptionally strong and creative thinker who thrives in a team environment and embraces all aspects of selling. They must be able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment and have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key job responsibilities
Drive revenue and market share in a defined territory and industry vertical.
Meet or exceed quarterly targets.
Develop and execute against comprehensive account and territory plan.
Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
Accelerate customer adoption.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
Manage contract negotiations.
Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
This role will include moderate travel.

7+ years of technology related sales experience, focused on solutions to the Higher Education / SLED markets.
5+ years sales experience working for technology vendors selling Enterprise Software and/or Strategic Cloud Platform solutions.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Good customer and partner network.
Strong leadership skills.
A technical background in engineering, computer science, or IT/MIS is a plus.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of technology related sales experience, focused on solutions to the Higher Education / SLED markets.
