This position bridges business requirements with technical implementation, focusing on translating client needs into effective Power BI reports, semantic models, and datasets within Microsoft Fabric and our partner's proprietary Dynamics 365 data warehouse solution.

Job Responsibilities

Work directly with customers to:

  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements for reporting and analytics

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for Power BI semantic models and datasets in Microsoft Fabric

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards

  • Build and optimize semantic models and datasets in Microsoft Fabric

  • Perform data analysis and profiling to ensure data quality and accuracy

  • Assist customers in creating effective measures, KPIs, and hierarchies using DAX

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data accuracy, refresh, and visualization issues in Power BI

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and deliver user training for deployed solutions

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers on Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse modeling, ingestion pipelines, and performance optimization

  • Provide guidance on Power BI governance, workspace management, and best practices within Fabric

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Information Technology/Engineering, related major or equivalent work experience 

  • Strong business analysis, requirements gathering, and customer-facing communication skills

  • Expertise in Power BI development, including semantic modeling, DAX, visualization design, and data storytelling

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, semantic models, pipelines, Dataflows, and Data Engineering workloads)

  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (T-SQL strongly preferred) and a solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities

  • Microsoft certifications including, Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), or willingness to obtain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 or other ERP/CRM systems

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL/ELT orchestration tools

  • Python scripting for data wrangling, automation, or API integration
