About the role
Total Wine & More is seeking a Project Supervisor to join our growing Supply Chain team in our Bethesda, MD office. The primary responsibility for the successful candidate will be management of strategic projects. These projects include operational, regulatory, system, and master data elements providing the candidate with a well-rounded and wide-ranging view of Total Wine’s Supply Chain and related functions. This role works cross-functionally across the organization allowing the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with various business partners while gaining a deep understanding of the business. We are looking for a motivated, organized individual to join our team and explore the exciting aspects of our industry. You will report to the Director, Supply Chain Compliance. You will
- Lead and develop strategic Supply Chain projects and plans for medium to large scale projects
- Develop resource plans and help balance team member workload across all projects and day-to-day tasks
- Establish key performance indicators and develop reporting to identify exceptions and communicate performance
- Manage business partner relationships to ensure timeliness of project completions
- Interpret, research, and develop a working knowledge of federal and state regulatory rules and regulations regarding the alcohol industry
- Lead in the development of new and existing tools and business processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of compliance operations
- Bachelor’s degree - preferably in business, supply chain, political science, engineering, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in supply chain or corporate retail environment
- 3+ years of experience planning, resourcing, and overseeing medium to large sized projects or initiatives
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, follow up and keep self and team on track to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, and excellent logical thinking to interpret regulatory rules and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft applications with strength in Excel (SQL is a plus)
