About the role

As a member of the Human Resources team, Internal Learning and Communications Specialist will support ongoing program management and internal “People” related communications. Success in this position is defined by driving engagement across learning opportunities as well as facilitating consistent culture across all employee-related company messages. In this role, you will leverage storytelling and continuous learning programs to help engage employees and create consistent experiences. In addition to program management, you will support the larger learning needs through simple content creation and maintain key employee documentation such as the Employee Handbook, corporate policies, compliance training and onboarding materials.

General Duties:

  • Create and manage the L&D, internal communications, and compliance calendar to manage the flow of internal messaging, including HR initiatives, learning programs announcements, and organization updates
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure onboarding-related communication and content is clear, consistent, and regularly maintained for a positive new hire experience
  • Deliver quality content consistently, ethically, professionally, and on time in the face of tight deadlines, while demonstrating discretion and maintaining confidentiality
  • Lead peers informally through project management and communication deliverables
  • Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and 8 Guiding Principles
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Learning and Development Duties:

  • Develop simple and short e-learning courses for internal processes as needed
  • Manage the LMS for course assignment, course tracking, and end-user experience
  • Maintain online training library to include recorded internal training videos and third-party training videos
  • Help in facilitating guided discussions as part of the new manager development program
  • Coordinate learning program details, including participant list, facilitator list, meeting logistics and invitations, and assignment of pre-work
  • Create visuals, communication materials, newsletter content and other promotional materials to create excitement and enhance visibility of L&D presence
  • Responsible for tracking employee attendance and appropriate follow-up to ensure 100% compliance for all training initiatives and corporate required trainings

Internal Communication Duties:

  • Serve as the liaison between HR and Marketing to maintain alignment, utilize resources effectively, and partner on shared initiatives
  • Assist in reviewing and curating portal content from parent company in alignment with CoreSite culture and employee needs
  • Build and maintain the Employee Handbook, HR policies, Compliance Posters, and other compliance related items as needed
  • Build relationships and communicate closely with leaders and subject-matter experts to understand company objectives and communicate it to employees
  • Support all functions of HR to curate a unified voice and guide communication best practices for all employee messaging, leveraging the brand guidelines
  • Gather employee stories and communicate them through various format (email, LinkedIn, company message boards, etc.)

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong business and HR acumen, familiarity with HR compliance a plus
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail, including deep understanding and ability to apply best practices in grammar, messaging, writing and style
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with experience communicating with and influencing individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Proficient with Articulate 360, including Storyline 360 and Rise
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to create concise and effective messages
  • Ability to influence and lead team members with informal reporting structures
  • High proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Well organized and confident to work independently
  • Strong team player
  • Proficient with video, audio, and graphic design
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment; 2-3 days per week in the downtown Denver office including Tuesdays for in-person team collaboration
  • While unlikely, travel up to 10% may be required for special projects

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Instructional Design, Communications, or similar
