THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you prepared to take the lead of our logistics operations, leaving your mark on a rapidly growing company?

As the Team Lead of our Global Logistics Operations at NavVis you will be responsible for shaping, scaling, optimizing and running our global customer facing logistics. With a customer base in more than 40 countries you will only orchestrate the delivery of new devices and accessories but also handle return shipments and support our production team with the clearance of international imports. You will structure the logistics operations in our Munich headquarters and align with our subsidiaries in the US, China and the UK on logistics related matters. You will be working closely with Order Management, Sales Operations, Customer Experience and Enterprise Professional Services teams, as well as our Procurement and Marketing experts.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Define and establish a winning concept for global logistics operations together with your team.
  • Lead and guide the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee international outbound distribution logistics and inbound reverse logistics, ensuring strict compliance with various regulations (e.g., Incoterms, IOR/EOR, IATA dangerous goods).
  • Implement best practices in logistics, strategy, and policies to enhance operational performance and process landscape.
  • Build and develop cutting-edge tools and digitalization technologies to promote automation, creativity, and lean logistics principles.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify inefficiencies, and seek cost optimization opportunities.
  • Scale processes to accommodate high-volume business requirements while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Set and communicate guidelines and standards for consistent and high-quality logistics operations.
  • Implement necessary cross-departmental change processes.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

  • University degree with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in logistics, preferably on an international scale.
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful team leadership experience, ideally in a mid-sized company.
  • Proven expertise in building and leading international logistics teams, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of successfully inspiring and guiding teams towards achieving objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations, and customs processes across diverse regions, including EMEA, DACH, Americas, APAC, APJ, and more.
  • Strong command of IT systems (ERP, CRM, Jira, Confluence).
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to address challenges in real-time to uphold the requirements of a dynamic work environment.
  • Keen ability to identify opportunities for structural improvements in logistics processes.
  • Proficient analytical skills and a self-motivated approach to resolving associated challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration within the team as well as with external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
