The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative and purchasing support for two departments under the Academic Partnerships Administration in the Division of Student Affairs. Areas of support include The Center for Democracy and Civic Life (CDCL) and the Department of Student Affairs Success Initiatives (SASI).

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the purchase of supplies, services and catering for departmental events and programming in accordance with institutional systems (PAWS, P-Card, D-Card).
- Manages and reconciles department Purchasing Card (P-Card) and Department Card (D-Card)
- Make all necessary travel arrangements for CDCL and SASI staff and prepare appropriate travel forms including e-travel requests, registrations, bookings and reimbursement. Will occasionally be responsible for student travel.
- Securing the services of outside vendors according to institutional guidelines (e.g. vendor contracts, purchase orders and PAW systems).
- Assists in program/event preparation and breakdown.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three years providing administrative support
- Experience in Higher Education
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Working Knowledge of Computers and Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Peoplesoft
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range 09 (minimum: $22.41/hour, maximum: $29.68/hour) based on the University System of Maryland (USM) Pay Program.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, Memorandum of Understanding, USM Board of Regent policies, internal equity, budget and qualifications and experience. Most salary offers will be close to the minimum part of the range.
