What You’ll Do

  • Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions outlined in the student's IEP or 504 Plan
  • Receive regular supervision with licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support fine motor, visual-motor, and sensory integration skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide input to the supervising OT regarding performance and outcomes
  • Adapt classroom materials and environments to promote student access and participation
  • Document student performance, session notes, and relevant data in accordance with district and legal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, OTs, and other school staff to support carryover of strategies in the classroom
  • Maintain equipment and therapy materials; assist with ordering and organization as needed
  • Facilitating motor based assessments in collaboration with licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and professional standard
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Compensation & Schedule 

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt
  • $28.74 - $36.41 per hour (DOE)
  • Part-Time; 25 Hours per week

    • Please note hourly positions are not annualized and compensation is based on actual hours worked.

Annual Calendar and Start Date

  • 198 work days per academic year
    • Includes 3 days of new staff orientation. Following years will include 195 workdays. 
  • Start Date: July 9th, 2025 

 

*Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.

Qualifications

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
