Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavoring and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

The typical hiring range for this role is $26.00 to $30.00 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. Shift: 1st: 8am to 5pm. Monday to Friday and some Saturday's.
Key responsibilities
Provide assistance to management in carrying out changes to the food safety system of the facility; assist in developing, reviewing, validating, and maintaining food safety and quality system documents, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and programs working in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Quality Systems team; provide assistance in maintaining record keeping, training and documentation.
· Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance to the Food Safety and Quality Systems of the facility; perform formal GMP audits.
· Ensure training of facility personnel on GMPs, Risk Preventive Controls, Hazard Analysis, pre-requisite programs, and other applicable food safety and quality systems elements as required; find out new areas where trainings are required
· Record and submit samples to outside labs for analyses per request; establish professional relationships with external labs used by the facility
· Learn and maintaining special sampling requirements for company and customers and when required analyze/submit samples
· Immediately report Food Safety and Quality non-conformities and deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager. Placing product on-hold for further evaluation and providing documented reports and track and trend data when applicable.
· Perform calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment used on the floor (pH, moisture, etc.) aligned with general good lab procedures
· Implementing and managing programs including but not limited to Golden 6, Hygienic Zoning, etc.
· Ensure all cleaning validation and verification activities are consistent with Kerry policies and procedures and federal regulations.
· Closely work with the Sanitation team to ensure effective sanitation is achieved in the facility.
· Maintaining the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) and ensure all data is logged into to LIMS.
· Asist in updating and implementing facility sanitation plans in collaboration with facility management and quality assurance management
· Perform pre-operational and operational inspections of equipment and production areas.
· Responsible for CCP Verifications and calibrations of magnet and metal detection systems to ensure they are in top performance
· Enforce SQF, USDA, FDA, and Kerry standards.
· Ensure communication is met between third-party service provides such as Pest Control, and external laboratories.
· Perform water testing; establish quality assurance related SDS library; participate in ensuring applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements are met.
· Special assignments upon request from the Quality Assurance Manager.
