Environmental Services Technician (Full-Time)

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to join our team. In this essential role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff by performing housekeeping duties throughout the hospital and associated facilities. Your work directly contributes to infection prevention and a positive patient experience.

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control standards

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods

Preferred:

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital, hotel, or commercial setting

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and common areas

• Safely handle and dispose of waste and biohazard materials

• Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper products, and linens

• Operate cleaning equipment and use approved disinfectants and cleaning agents

• Maintain linen inventory and manage daily linen distribution

• Check assigned areas for hazards and report any safety issues or needed repairs

• Follow hospital policies and regulatory guidelines, including infection prevention protocols

• Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing as needed
