Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to join our team. In this essential role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff by performing housekeeping duties throughout the hospital and associated facilities. Your work directly contributes to infection prevention and a positive patient experience.

Who We Are
Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, which is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control standards
-
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work for extended periods
Preferred:
-
Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital, hotel, or commercial setting
Key Responsibilities
-
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and common areas

Safely handle and dispose of waste and biohazard materials

Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper products, and linens

Operate cleaning equipment and use approved disinfectants and cleaning agents

Maintain linen inventory and manage daily linen distribution

Check assigned areas for hazards and report any safety issues or needed repairs

Follow hospital policies and regulatory guidelines, including infection prevention protocols

Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing as needed
