Senior Human Resources GeneralistQ CELLS Enable is the C&I (Commercial and Industrial) EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) arm of Qcells which is the market leading PV and battery solution provider in US and Global market. We are based in NYC and quickly expanding our footprint to all neighboring states in Northeast.
SUMMARYThe Senior Human Resources Generalist will provide support and is responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations. This position reports to the Head of Human Resources, or another senior management personnel that the President or the Head of the Company may designate. This position is hybrid-based (Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays in-office) at our New York, NY office. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm. This position may require to travel up to 10% of the time. This position’s time/duties will be split among the HR functional role as follows:
1/3 – HR Operations & Compliance 1/3 – Talent Acquisition1/3 – Human Capital Management & Miscellaneous HR Project Initiatives

Responsibilities


  • Talent Acquisition, Onboarding
  • Assist the Senior HR Manager, Talent Acquisition Associate with recruiting, by conducting compensation analysis and creating pay grades for open positions.
  • Review all potential new hire offers with GES/USA HR Team to be compliant in the official offer process.
  • Create the official offer letter and request the official approval in Circle which is our internal approval platform.
  • Assist with preboarding, onboarding and conduct new hire orientation process, ensuring all required documents are executed and received and all necessary access/equipment is provided;
  • Conduct I9 verifications, regularly audit for accuracy and compliance;
  • Provide Back-up Payroll Processing and Reporting support
  • Provide Back-up Process semimonthly payrolls (Non-Exempt & Exempt), as well as special payrolls (ie. severances and off-cycle payouts) support;
  • Support in investigating any payroll issues that may occur;
  • Provide Support in Preparing advanced reports using reports in TriNet and Excel, (ie. payroll reconciliation, monthly labor costs, monthly headcount, quarterly commissions, audits documentation);
  • Assist in providing the Corporate Finance department with monthly/quarterly/annual closing reports;
  • Assist in providing the Corporate Finance department with monthly/quarterly requests from auditors;
  • Complete employee status changes;
  • Assist with Reconciling expenses;
  • Benefits and Leave Administration
  • Handle the administration of employee benefits programs, including health plans, life insurance plans, short term disability plans and the 401(k) plan;
  • Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution;
  • Participate in interactive discussions with employees in compliance with ADA and support the 
  • Workers Compensation Program and Coordinate the completion of the Annual Audit;
  • Administer, track and coordinate all FMLA and/or leaves of absences;
  • HR Operations
  • Support the effective integration and administration of HR processes, programs, and practices into daily operations;
  • Create and ensure that HR files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures;
  • Works with Senior Manager, TA and DoHROC to draft Job Descriptions to ensure employee functional duties are standardized to their pay grades and job functions;
  • Process verification of employment requests, state-specific claim forms and unemployment insurance claims;
  • Effectively communicate to employees on various HR matters;
  • Aid HR department in implementing new policies and procedures;
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs;
  • Assist with immigration and visa inquiries;
  • Employee Relations and Investigations
  • Assist with routine to complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and collaborate with Head of HR to recommend appropriate action to resolve the issues;
  • Assist in separations, terminations and corrective action plans;
  • HCM / Employee Engagement
  • Take the lead role in planning and executing company-sponsored events;
  • Track marketing materials and new hire onboarding gifts;
  • Execute employee recognition programs, including birthday announcements, employee anniversaries, and video monitor updates;
  • Assist HR Manager and Head of HR on various HCM initiatives (Learning Management System, Compensation, Total Rewards, Employee Incentive Programs, etc.);
