Finance Advisor [Temporary]

Location: Champaign,Illinois,United States

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a Finance Advisor to join its Accounting department. The ideal candidate will assist with training and performing certain tasks to help the Accounting team catch up on items. A clear background check, credit check and education verification will be required for this role. This position is part time with up to 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Creating instructions and training for the reconciliations of various bank accounts
• Training employees on book sale account procedures and ensuring accurate documentation and updates are completed
• Working with the Accounting department on month-end processes
• Working toward continuous improvement in departmental efficiencies utilizing technology to improve the timeliness of financial reporting and accuracy
• Processing accounting functions for a multi-currency, multi-company environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or finance
• Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with software such as Sage Intacct, Sovos, Stripe, Oracle and UKG
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving and analytical skills 

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of managerial experience
• Certified Public Accountant designation
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Experience in an international, multi-company environment

Location: Champaign, Illinois (hybrid schedule available)
