About the role
Under the direction of the Department Manager 4, the Senior Accountant 1 performs various accounting functions at the Sheriff’s Department.
Required Tasks
- Prepare inmate housing billings to various agencies
- Prepare financial reports for all grant activity
- Prepare financial reporting for all Narcotics Units activities
- Prepare and process services vouchers as needed
- Prepare and process revenue vouchers
- Assist with inmate property deposit preparation
- Process court orders and bond preparations
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or a closely related field
- Three years (3) full time paid professional experience in accounting
