This role is based at GE Aerospace’s Evendale, OH site, home to the Aerospace Response Center (ARC). The ARC is a critical hub for crisis management and operational readiness, ensuring 24/7/365 support for GE Aerospace’s global operations. Role Overview

As the Director of ARC Watch Operations, you will lead a team of watch officers and operations specialists, ensuring the Aerospace Response Center (ARC) is fully staffed and operationally ready at all times. This role involves developing and implementing standard work, managing schedules, overseeing training programs, and collaborating with stakeholders to refine ARC processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of watch officers and ARC Operations Specialists.
  • Ensure full staffing and operational readiness of the ARC 24/7/365.
  • Develop and implement standard work and operational standards for ARC processes.
  • Oversee scheduling and ensure coverage for all shifts.
  • Lead training programs to ensure the readiness and proficiency of ARC operators.
  • Enhance the research and analytic capabilities of ARC Operations Specialists.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director, Aerospace Response Center, Risk Pillar Leads, and other stakeholders to refine ARC processes and procedures.
  • Provide input, guidance, and feedback to team members, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.
  • Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and improve ARC operations.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the GE Aerospace Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and refine attendant processes.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing 24/7 operations and shift-based teams. They excel in crisis management, decision-making under pressure, and developing operational standards. This person is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in security studies, emergency management, intelligence, international relations, political science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in a GSOC, operations center, intelligence, crisis management, military, or corporate security environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in a people leadership role, managing 24/7 or shift-based teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response, intelligence analysis, travel risk management, and/or crisis coordination.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and situational judgment under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standard work and operational standards.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and case management systems.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a high-stress environment.
  • Strong analytic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Background in developing training programs for operational teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.

Risk Assessment and Business Acumen: The ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential threats and vulnerabilities, and to develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
