<p><span><span><span><b>About the Role</b></span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><span><b>Barry Callebaut Digital (BC Digital)</b> is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and we're looking for a (Senior) Data Custodian, to help us build a foundation for actionable insights based on well governed and secure data. Reporting to the Head of Data Stewardship, you will ensure that data governance standards are reflected in our data storage and access operations. You will cooperate closely with stakeholders across digital, to analyze requirements and lay the technical foundation for secure and compliant access to our data assets.</span></span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><b><span><span><span>Key Responsibilities Include</span></span></span></b></p> <p> </p> <p><span><span><span>The candidate will:</span></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Support building the  business glossary &amp;  data catalog for the domain</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Analyse and support on business KPIs and quality definition for the domain</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Implement data domains &amp; data models according to the roadmap aligned with business, translate data requirements into practice</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Oversee the storage, backup, and recovery of data ensuring availability and integrity, and enabling reliability for business operations</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Optimize data storage and management processes, enabling scalability to support efficient business operations</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Implement and manage data access controls, safeguarding data against unauthorized access and breaches</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Ensure data handling practices comply with internal policies and external regulations, and protect against security threats</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Establish and maintain security protocols and policies for accessing data</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Stay updated with and adhere to evolving data protection regulations and standards</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Identify and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities associated with data security and compliance</span></span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><span><span><span>About You</span></span></span></b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span><span><span>Degree in IT/technology, data, business administration, or a comparable field</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Proficiency in English</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Good/advanced understanding of data management processes, with a minimum of 5 years of experience</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Extensive experience with data storage solutions, preferably on Azure</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Understanding of data security protocols, including access control, back-up process and recovery tools</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Good problem-solving skills and a structured way of working</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate problems to non-technical audiences</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Collaborates well across diverse and globally distributed teams, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across different levels and functions of the organization</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Is a true team player, supporting their colleagues by sharing knowledge and experience and commits the teams’ joint success</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Capable of effecting communication, conveying complex problems in a clear and persuasive manner to internal and external stakeholders</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Openness to try and learn new technologies and skills</span></span></span></li> <li><span><span><span>Independent and self-driven personality, taking responsibility and owning tasks</span></span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p>
