The Training, Education, and Awareness Program Coordinator, Information Security is a key member of the Information Security team that provides information security and risk management support for Genesys. The Training, Education and Awareness Program Coordinator, Information Security will work with key stakeholders within Information Security and across a multitude of business units and operational units to enhance the security of the business enterprise.

The person in this role will report directly to the Head of Information Security Assurance and assist with creating and curating content for an enterprise-wide training and awareness program for Information Security. The four populations being targeted to begin with are as follows:

The general employee population of Genesys, to educate on Information Security concepts when first on-boarded into the company and on an annual basis afterwards, and to seed a sustained interest in Information Security topics using a creative and innovative awareness campaign Information Security employees, to educate on the structure and standard operating procedures of the department when new to the company, and to identify and provide guidance for ongoing training in the rapidly evolving field of Information Security Employees in roles that are subject to industry or legal regulations, to create a training program that meets the compliance requirements needed to demonstrate adherence with regulatory requirements identified Employees in technology roles, to create an appropriate strategy around providing these employees with ongoing and relevant Information Security information, techniques and concepts that address the top cybersecurity risks for Genesys.

Other key activities will include managing the Enterprise Phishing Campaign program, developing a Security Champions program, and building a repeatable strategy for distributing key InfoSec information and important security bulletins to the Enterprise. The Information Security Training, Education and Awareness Program Leader will be responsible for working within established frameworks for general delivery, escalating issues as identified and project delivery as assigned.

Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy for the security awareness program for Genesys.

  • Develop a tailored education program for key roles within the company (i.e., software developers & engineers).

  • Coordinate with external learning partners and internal learning teams to develop high quality training content.

  • Ensure that our security awareness program meets all industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

  • Ensure that our security awareness program communicates our security policies and requirements so that people know, understand and can follow them.

  • Create a positive program that engages employees, to include focusing on changing behaviors both at home and at work.

  • Create a metrics framework to measure the effectiveness of the program.

  • Work with stakeholders to create overall project plan and task list.

  • Tracks status of project activities and ensures that schedules and priorities are being met.

  • Ensures critical issues are identified and tracked through resolution.

  • Prepare project communications and documentation including executive briefings, project milestone deliverables, weekly status reports, etc.

  • Help build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study is desired.

  • General knowledge of IT environments is helpful.

  • Experience working on regulatory compliance initiatives such as PCI, SOX, or HIPAA is a plus.

  • Must be self-motivated, flexible and highly resourceful.

  • Must possess thorough verbal & written communication skills, with demonstrated experience around effectively speaking to all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction.

  • Ability to work in large global environments spanning multiple time-zones.
