Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) @ Oxolo

Our client, Oxolo, established in 2020 in Hamburg, aspires to become the global leader in synthetic media. With an international and diverse community comprising 15 different nationalities and predominantly world-class engineers working 100% remotely, Oxolo is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technology for automated video content creation featuring virtual humans. Their solutions cater to a wide array of industries including advertising, e-commerce, e-learning, and e-health.

As Oxolo expands, we're searching for a Senior Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) proficient in React and Typescript, to primary focus on the advancement and optimization of Oxolo's React-driven solutions. As an integral member of the cross-functional unit, you'll be collaborating closely with both internal teams and external partners to develop the web application and the video cloud renderer within the React ecosystem.

Tasks

• Engineer new user-centric features using React and Typescript.
• Craft and manage reusable components, ensuring the continuous growth of our internal front-end libraries.
• Convert designs and wireframes into efficient, reusable code structures.
• Prioritize performance when establishing new components, ensuring user experiences are seamless.
• Assess the implications of library updates, ensuring forward and backward compatibility.
• Collaborate with the team in enhancing our video cloud renderer.
• Engage and provide guidance to your peers Frontend developers.
• Participate actively in planning sessions and contribute to the development of technical documentation.

Requirements

4+ years of hands-on experience in Web Development emphasizing React and Typescript.

• Comprehensive knowledge of React.js and its foundational principles.
• Mastery over Typescript, Javascript, CSS, HTML, and other pivotal frontend technologies.
• Proficient in utilizing React.js tools such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack.
• Familiarity with git-based code versioning and thorough review processes, including merge requests.
• Acquaintance with performance testing tools like Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with RESTful API integrations.
• Resilient problem-solving mindset and capable of operating autonomously, addressing bugs, and innovating on existing features.
• An impeccable team spirit, valuing feedback, shared responsibilities, and clear communication.
• Organized and articulate, with a keen sense of prioritization and commitment to deadlines.
• Fluent in English, with full professional proficiency.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Familiarity with Remotion.
• Proficiency in developing 2D visual effects and animations using CSS.
• Experience working with Three.JS.
