Sr. Manager, IT Network & Infrastructure services is a hands-on leader with proven experience overseeing network architecture design, security implementation and IT systems, driving innovation, performance optimization, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance for seamless operations, including backup and patching infrastructures, and leading high-performing teams for optimal efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and building a secure company architecture, including switching, routing, overall network services, and network security.
- Responsible for planning the expansion of network capacity to support the company's growth.
- Review and make recommendations based on the organization's security posture and design architecture.
- Properly document all systems security implementation, operations, and maintenance activities and update as necessary.
- Provide guidance and effective enterprise systems administration, including AD design, DHCP scope configuration, DNS architecture, GPO deployment, tests, etc., by owning business critical infrastructure and applications, including on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure
- Design, deploy and maintain Windows Operating Systems, AD, DHCP, LDAP, SCCM, WSUS, DNS, NTP, CA, GPO, and related core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment.
- Prioritize the Team's efforts related to security and network issues and remediations.
- Provides cybersecurity recommendations to leadership based on significant threats and vulnerabilities that may affect our company environments.
- Create and maintain comprehensive infrastructure diagrams, and create processes, SOPs, and other technical documentation.
- Manage assigned projects and implement automation wherever possible.
- Provide technical leadership and training to engineers on the team.
- Establish best practices throughout the entire technical support process.
- Follow up with customers to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the team’s productivity.
Skills
- Hands-on working experience with Palo Alto and Meraki firewalls, Cisco 6500s, and Meraki switch devices.
- Strong security experience with ACLs, IPsec, and traffic inspection.
- Ability to serve as the primary liaison between the CISO organization, IT, and system owners.
- Excellent understanding of networking technologies such as BGP, OSPF, STP (RSTP/MSTP), AAA, and layer 2 switching.
- Ability to use tools like Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds for monitoring, analyzing, and diagnosing network issues.
- Knowledge of the application firewall concepts and functions (e.g., single point of authentication/audit/policy enforcement, message scanning for malicious content, data loss prevention, SSL security, REST/JSON processing).
- Knowledge of network access, identity, and access management (e.g., public key infrastructure, Oauth, OpenID, SAML, SPML).
- Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and knowledge of how to use network analysis tools to identify vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
