Job Summary:
This position statistically monitors the daily production of all products through testing and inspection at preset intervals, as product moves through the manufacturing process. Define corrective action(s) needed and monitor compliancy to product standards and specifications. Job duties performed must adhere to all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Management System practices as applicable to this position. Candidates must be available to work over 40 hours per week as needed.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Calibrate and/or check required equipment and documentation needed to perform effective quality checks (metal detectors, paperwork etc.).
- Will take weight samples of product in preset intervals ensuring they are within specifications, communicating any outliers to the operators.
- Collect product samples and confirm compliancy in weight and moisture; maintaining samples for further testing, inspection, and shelf-life review for Lab Technicians.
- Perform rechecks immediately following any out of specification checks; communicate unusual or non-compliant results to Quality Supervisor.
- Verify compliance of finished goods packaging to include code dates, labeling, etc.
- Maintain clean and organized work area(s).
- Must be able to multi-task and be a self-starter; take initiative to ensure the continued flow of the production process.
- May operate hand tools and mechanical equipment as needed.
- Interact with team to maintain an open line of communication enabling efficient process flow.
- Report problems and/or concerns to leadership.
- Follow required work related safety rules.
- Apply the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Standard.
Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity and able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Proficient level of math skills that include ability to add/subtract positive and negative numbers.
Experience
- Previous employment in a manufacturing environment; working in a fast paced environment around moving equipment.
- Stable and dependable work history is required
Skills/Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Manual dexterity
- Push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally,
Pay: $21.50 per hour starting rate
