There is a strong emphasis on minimal errors as there is a direct financial implication to the University. He/She is responsible for a broad range of functions dealing with managing and reconciling gifts and revenue transactions, acknowledging donor gifts, and maintaining a clean database with correct donor/prospect biographical information. The position serves as a contact with all departments and areas within the division and University regarding financial transactions that have been processed in Raiser’s Edge. The position reports to the Associate Director for Advancement Services.</p><p></p><p>Essential Responsibilities:</p><p></p><p>Process UM financial transactions related to University Advancement fundraising activities of all values and types to the RE system, giving priority and proofing co-workers batches focusing on high dollar transactions.  He/She must post transactions following University of Miami policies and procedures including IRS regulations, Controller’s restrictions, C.A.S.E. standards and new campaign policies, in order to insure postings are accurate.</p><p></p><p>Manages the more complex gift processing transactions and imports those transactions into RE using a high level of independent judgment and adjusts gifts as necessary. A high volume and high level of accuracy is required.</p><p></p><p>Credit Card Processor - Receives all credit card transactions related to University Advancement fundraising activities of all values, and following Development Services policy separates the credit card transactions, and coordinates all backup documentation into batches.  Main contact with department/schools for rejected credit card transactions. </p><p></p><p>Post Recurring Gift Pledges to the RE system.  Examine and verify that the donor’s designation of the pledge is accurate with the backup documentation received. Coordinates directly with Development Officers on duration, scheduling and billing required on the pledges if not clear in the documentation.</p><p></p><p>Input payroll deduction gifts with a high level of accuracy and speed.</p><p></p><p>Update bio-demographic records with strong independent judgment required. Highly accurate and advanced knowledge of the identity management process is required.</p><p></p><p>Database improvement projects (Quality control):</p><p>Responsible for resolving any data anomalies on individual and other large-scale data clean-up projects.  </p><p></p><p>Other duties as assigned:  Cross trained in the following areas to assist in the department’s daily operations as well as of the Advancement Division when needed:</p><p></p><p></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of three years business office experience required at a senior level, with good accounting and math skills. Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered. Excellent command of the English language, oral and written, plus superior telephone skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel), and Raiser’s Edge. Experience in running RE queries desired. Must have initiative mixed with good, sound judgment.
