Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Medicine to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.  South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services—from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults—all designed to keep our community healthy.

 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

  • Attend to patients in the Emergency Room awaiting beds in the Medicine Inpatient Units.
  • Liaise with Emergency Medicine and Medicine Department staff.
  • Perform history and physical examinations, Order diagnostic tests based on assessments, develop treatment plans and prescribe drugs and other therapies, as needed.
  • Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
  • Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current certification issued by the NCCPA.
  • Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population.

 

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** and $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
