Junior Production Specialist

<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p></p><p><strong><a href="https://www.globallinkccms.com/products/vasont" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Vasont Systems</a></strong>, a division of TransPerfect, is looking for a full-time <strong>Junior Production Specialist</strong> to be part of our dynamic team offering content management solutions to our clients. They offer a single-source <strong><a href="https://www.globallinkccms.com/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Component Content Management System</a></strong> that increases the speed and efficiency of creating, managing, localizing and publishing their multilingual content, presenting an intuitive and simple user experience to advance the content development and publishing cycles for content contributors.</p><p></p><p><strong>Position responsibilities:</strong></p><p></p><p><u>Content Conversion:</u></p><ul><li><p>Develop and maintain a calendar of conversion projects</p></li><li><p>Advise GlobalLink CCMS management of calendar conflicts and resource constraints</p></li><li><p>Coordinate team activities when multiple people are working on the same conversion project</p></li><li><p>Select and operate the correct conversion scripts for each type of input content</p></li><li><p>Verify correctness of converted content</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>Content Import:</u></p><ul><li><p>Ensure that received content is complete and does not duplicate what has been imported already</p></li><li><p>Invoke the content-import operation for each of our two CCMS products, ensuring that content goes into the appropriate destinations</p></li><li><p>Report errors in content import and pinpoint the source of content-conversion errors</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>Style Sheet Certification:</u></p><ul><li><p>Prepare pseudo-translation of source-language content, generate output from that content, and prepare certification-status report</p></li></ul><p></p><p><u>Custom Support:</u></p><ul><li><p>Assist GlobalLink CCMS Customer Support team by reviewing and responding to issues assigned to the Level-2 customer support queue that have not yet been assigned to anyone</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor</p> <h3>Requirements</h3> <ul><li><p>Bachelor´s degree or equivalent</p></li><li><p>Superior written and spoken communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus)</p></li><li><p>Ability to record timely and concise descriptions of tasks completed pending</p></li><li><p>Ability to on two or more unrelated projects simultaneously, adjusting time allocation in response to fluctuating project priorities, without direct supervision</p></li><li><p>Abilities to organize and discuss issues in management-facing and customer-facing meetings</p></li><li><p>Affinity for technical discussions about content, including XML jargon, error conditions and resolutions, and patterns and options for improving conversion processes and tools</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail, especially in reviewing content to be converted to ensure accurate conversion and import</p></li><li><p>Experience in MS Excel, MS Word, and keyboarding</p></li><li><p>Ability to comply with General Office Procedures, including daily and weekly reports and issue-escalation procedures</p></li><li><p>Experience in Records and Database Management</p></li><li><p>Desirable: familiar with content management, data composition, publishing, graphic creation, and translation processes</p></li></ul>
