*As a newly hired Medical Assistant, you will receive a one-time New Hire Recruitment and Retention Incentive payment of $1,500 on your first paycheck. The incentive will be prorated based on the position's FTE status. Please Note that in order to receive the Incentive Hiring Bonus you must be a CERTIFIED Medical Assistant.

1)David Douglas Student Health Center (1034 SE 130th Avenue Portland, OR 97233) and other SHCs as assigned
The salary range for this recruitment is $25.34 - 31.03 USD Hourly.
Off winter and spring break.
Spanish language skills are preferred.
The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support to the patient care team directed towards the prevention of disease and promotion of health using professional clinical support for quality patient care. This position works as part of a care delivery team and works closely with physicians and mid-level providers and other team members to help ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
As the Certified Medical Assistant you will:
Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
Provide patient follow-up (i.e.: after visit instructions, setting appointments, patient education, communicate normal lab results and reminder phone calls)
Support back office clinic flow and time management for providers.
Review immunizations, forecast and administer immunizations for clients of all ages.
Inventory and order immunizations.
Perform medical treatments such as simple would care, ear irrigations, suture removal and fluoride treatments.
Ensure the exam room is stocked, cleaned and ready for use.
Provide lab duties including phlebotomy, processing labs, and quality assurance maintenance.
Complete assigned Quality Control/Assurance activities, environment of care, lab, and immunizations.
Order clinic supplies.
Provide preventative and outreach duties.

Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:
Education/Experience/Training: Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
