Job Summary
This position will have responsibilities at the Hyde Park and downtown Chicago campuses, with Hyde Park as the primary location.
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable contributor to the Faculty Services operations at Booth.
- Co-manages classroom assignments at Harper Center using EMS room reservation software and advises faculty and staff regarding room conflicts, optimal scheduling, and maximization of space usage. Provides timely responses to all requests from faculty and staff for all classroom reservations and evaluate and resolve conflicting requests for space. Provides back up support for Gleacher Center and Booth 455 room reservations.
- Co-manages collection and publishing on the web of course-related documents, including course descriptions and syllabi. Comfortable learning and using Booth’s Course Management/Course Description tool, Sitecore content management system, and Canvas Learning Management System.
- Manages faculty communications such as the weekly Faculty News Sheet, syllabus collection, and course material copy charges. In addition to above mention Booth Course Management/Course Description tool and the Sitecore content management system, comfortable learning and using the University’s Financial Systems Transformation Oracle system.
- Manages quarterly faculty course copy code creation with Booth accounting, and chargebacks to faculty. Comfortable using the University’s Financial Systems Transformation Oracle system to process charges, invoices, and other departmental payments.
- Provides lead support to Faculty Services staff managing graded material distribution. Coordinates with Gleacher staff, as needed.
- Ensures compliance of service level agreements for distribution of graded materials to students at Harper and communicates these expectations to faculty and teaching assistants. Ensures FERPA guidelines are met during distribution of exams and assignments, protecting students' privacy rights.
- Serves on committees and special projects that further the mission of Chicago Booth and Faculty Services.
- Provides general support to faculty at large, provides direct support to a small group of faculty, assists faculty with recommendation letters for PhD job market candidates, and available for back-up support for recruiting operations and other Faculty Services responsibilities.
