Job Summary:
Provides administrative support for planning, organizing, budgeting and directing laboratory and imaging service lines. Responsible for alignment of quality initiatives, analysis of clinical outcomes, and identified key performance indicators. Role purview includes SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville, SSM Health Monroe Clinic Hospital, and SSM Health Monroe Clinic. Responsible for the department’s overall delivery of service.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
Primary Responsibilities
- Accountable and responsible for departments as assigned. Achieves outcomes on assigned units to include satisfaction, quality, financial and safety.
- Coordinates assignment of personnel in collaboration with managers to areas consistent with their qualifications and maintains accountability.
- Resolves problems in conjunction with regional leadership.
- Oversees schedules for assigned departments.
- Plans, implements, and supports budget decisions. Utilizes personnel and supplies consistently within budgetary guidelines. Proactively plans workforce needs in collaboration with managers.
- Oversees workflow process for effective patient throughput within the ministry and regionally.
- Maintains appropriate personnel and departmental records.
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze situations, consider alternatives, formulate and implement solutions, and evaluate results.
- Evaluates staff in accordance with performance appraisal program.
- Collaborates with ministry leadership team to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and education
Experience
- Seven years' experience, with five years in direct people management/leadership
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
