Job Description

This senior position involves strategising, implementing, and overseeing the TPRM program in alignment with industry standards and regulatory expectations. The Third Party Risk Senior Lead contributes to developing, maintaining, and enhancing the comprehensive TPRM framework and policies to ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the Wise's Enterprise Risk management framework. 

This role involves leading and growing both global and regional specific resources, providing strategic support, and fostering a culture of third-party risk awareness throughout the organisation. The Senior Lead needs to work in close coordination with the rest of the TPRM Leadership team, and the Third Party Management team at large. 

The Senior Lead provides expert guidance to senior stakeholders, coordinates cross-team projects, and contributes to the strategic alignment of TPRM strategies with the company's overall risk management and business objectives.

This role will operate both as individual contributor and owner of aspect of the TPRM programme, and as team contributor for items that are delivered by other members of the TPRM leadership team, or delivered as part of the Team. 

TPR Senior Lead duties and responsibilities:

1. Policy and Framework development

Develop, maintain, and update the TPRM framework and policies to align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and the organisation's risk appetite.  Design  procedures, risk assessment methodologies, and continuous monitoring processes to ensure the TPRM framework effectively integrates into the organisation's overall risk management strategy.

2. Team Leadership and Development 

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of third-party risk specialists, both globally and regionally, providing guidance and professional development opportunities to team members. Conduct regular reviews and address performance issues. Build and embed a culture of awareness and continuous improvement within the third party risk management function. 

3. TPRM expertise and collaborations 

Contribute to and coordinate cross-team projects, audits, and inspections related to TPRM scope. Provide thought leadership, direction, guidance, and subject matter expertise, and provide insightful reports on TPRM to the rest of the TPRM leadership and the Wise Leadership team. Foster a culture of third-party risk awareness across the organisation.

4. Strategic oversight and improvements

Contribute to strategic oversight and continuously audit current processes to optimise third-party management processes, together with the rest of the TRPM leadership. The goal is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of controls, identify areas for improvement, and develop improvement plans. 

5. TPRM Program enhancement and development 

Mature and evolve the Wise’s TPRM program in alignment with strategic guidance from Wise Leadership and global regulatory expectations. Assess the complexity of program maturity and identify the needs for improvement.

6. Strategic Risk management alignment

Ensure that TPRM strategies are aligned with the organisation's overall risk management framework and strategic objectives. This involves collaborating with 2nd line of defence stakeholders, Leadership team and  key teams to ensure the third-party risk considerations into the broader organisational risk profile and strategic planning processes.

7. Compliance and Regulatory expertise

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant outsourcing regulations, laws, and industry standards affecting third-party risk management. Ensure the TPRM program aligns with regulatory requirements and best practices, and contributes to designing a strategic foundation for building processes and operationalising relevant regulatory expectations.
