Payment Specialist - Bookkeeping/Data Processing

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Payment Specialist is responsible for accurately posting insurance payments and adjustments from a diverse payor mix, patient payments, and other sources, into the practice management system. The Payment Specialist must reconcile all assigned ACH payments and lockbox payments to the bank statement before posting.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, preferred


QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Understanding medical terminology and insurance billing processes
• Must be efficient on the keyboard
• Must maintain accuracy with increased work volume
• Must be flexible with overtime and schedule changes to accommodate departmental needs
• Must have good attendance and punctuality
• Must be able to get along well with fellow employees


WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
