This is a highly professional position located within the Bureau of Preparedness and Response.  This position serves as the Department’s Florida Health Alert Network Coordinator.  This position is responsible for the maintenance and administration of data systems which provide health-related information and situational awareness data to our stakeholders. 

 

Manages the Emergency Alerting and Notification System (Everbridge) by providing support and training to users and Group Managers. Developes and maintains training for system users. Maintains data integrity for new hires, transfers, and separations. Investigates data loss or missing data. Serves as the liaison with the Emergency Alerting and Notification System vendor and initiates tickets for system support when an anomaly, break-fix, or enhancement need has been identified. Conducts quarterly statewide drills for Central Office and County Health Department leadership and monitors and reviews quarterly drills conducted by Group Managers. Works in coordination with the Bureau Chief as required to update the Emergency Alerting and Notification System Policy.

 

Systems administration through the organization and support of systems maintained and supported by Bureau staff.  Troubleshooting and proactively working with system owners and developers to maintain current processes.  Investigates and considers system enhancements by working directly with system owners and the development team.  Provides user support to system users through account creation, system permissions, and system access.  Provides user support through ad hoc direction and instruction.  Performs project management duties for the application systems that handle communications between medical response teams, health care providers, and other state agencies in meeting programmatic goals and deliverables. This includes coordinating meetings as needed with other state agencies, vendors, Regional Administrators, and Subject Matter Experts to resolve system issues and to review and refine system business requirements.

 

Serves as back-up assisting the maintaining of an Internet and Intranet web presence for the Bureau of Preparedness and Response.

 

Implements and/or reviews the County Health Department Expect Preparedness Alert and Notification Deliverables in conjunction with the Community Preparedness Section requirements.

 

Completes required trainings as well as participating in training and exercises to maintain preparedness for assigned ESF-8 response role and for carrying out response role during public health incidents, events, or activations. Serving in an ESF-8/DOH activation role as a member of the State ESF-8 Incident Management Team during public health and medical incidents, events, or activations. This includes working shift assignments in an assigned ESF-8 response role capacity as noted in the State ESF-8 Incident Staffing Plan during ESF-8 activations.

 

Incumbent will support routine and ad hoc working groups, advisory groups, or committees necessary to complete special projects identified to ensure the implementation of programmatic and system goals and deliverables.
