Airport Security Officer: Mobile Patrol

As an Airport Security Officer: Mobile Patrol in Hilo, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity every day.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 1+ years of Security Experience
• 18+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to support appropriate reporting and follow-up actions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or pedestrian traffic while communicating with visitors, staff, and public personnel regarding access procedures and observed concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance-related observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client contacts, and/or first responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
