The Role: 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant (EA) to join a fast-paced, growing biotech startup. The EA will provide high-level support to the CFO, and other C-Suite hires. The ideal candidate will leverage a broad range of skills including a high degree of professionalism and discretion when handling a wide variety of responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, critical thinker with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to proactively build organizational knowledge and relationships and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This is an office-based role (work from office 3 days a week) at our Cambridge, MA location.

Key Responsibilities:

The Executive Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing complex calendar support and coordination of CFO’s work-related meetings and day-to-day activities
  • Managing and making travel arrangements, accommodating frequent changes and updates as needed
  • Organizing and planning team meetings and investor meetings ( e.g., board meetings, business development and investor interactions) by assisting with the production of materials and pre-reads, taking notes, and tracking action items
  • Managing and processing expense reports
  • Working with administrative and operations colleagues on employee appreciation events and other project initiatives, when needed
  • Operate with integrity and work on various tasks with a high degree of confidentiality

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of administrative experience providing support to executives at the “C-Suite” level
  • Exceptional organization skills, with keen attention to detail and a strong ability execute
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information and situations with care and confidence
  • Ability to work across various roles and teams in a dynamic, demanding, and fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Office-based role (expectation is to be in the office 4-5 days a week) 
  • High level of commitment, availability after hours and on weekends, as needed
