The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Engineer to join the Artificial Intelligence team located in Huntsville, AL. This role is pivotal in advancing Boeing's AI capabilities by optimizing AI infrastructure deployment to meet program-specific requirements across Boeing’s development environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in increasing the speed of AI development and improving the quality of AI-enabled systems provided to our customers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of AI infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
• Manage all facets of compute, storage, networking, DevOps, and MLOps to realize improvements in AI applications.
• Consult and advise on best practices for migration to enterprise hosting environments.
• Deploy and advise on secure deployment of AI tools on-prem and in the cloud.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
• Present at industry conferences and internal summits, sharing insights on AI infrastructure and development processes.
• Provide valuable consultation to programs during the development of AI systems, leveraging a unique perspective gained from exposure to projects across the enterprise.
• Enable teams across the enterprise to operationalize AI by integrating labs to perform AI/ML work.
• Ensure continuity across business units by applying a comprehensive understanding of AI systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain AI Innovation Lab processes and procedures, including lab intake process.
• Partner with Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S), Procurement, and Finance to acquire computing hardware and software assets.
• Partner with IDT&S to ensure compliance of all managed assets across AI Innovation Labs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 10 years of experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence including Machine Learning
• 10 years of experience with data center infrastructure and technologies including network and transport services, server clusters and virtualization, and storage
• Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of creative solutions that have led to significant cost savings and operational improvements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate across diverse stakeholders
