We're looking to add a Senior Product Manager to the Platform Team for the Elastic Stack on Elastic Cloud, the official managed service for running Elasticsearch. In this role you will be responsible for defining and delivering core services and components for which our search, observability, and security user experiences are built off of. You will help create and maintain amazing user experiences that help administrators and superusers easily manage Elastic at scale. To be successful, you will bring a strong eye for all things UX, be technically minded, and thrive in cross-functional environments.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Partnering with teams across the organization to deliver great user experiences for administrator and security personas that simplifies what it means to manage and operate Elastic at scale
- Gathering, synthesizing, and disseminating feedback from internal and external partners to support business requirements for core platform services and components
- Work closely with our UI/UX teams on crafting simple journeys in and out of our products
- Develop detailed use-cases and product requirements, working closely with engineering teams through the design, development, and release processes
- Lay out a product strategy and prioritization for new services that will provide value to application teams across Elastic, enabling our customers, users and community to be successful
- Define and measure product KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and growth
- Support product marketing and sales enablement to craft customer-focused messaging and content
What You Bring Along:
- You have 5+ years in product management for a SaaS product(s) and have a deep understanding of SaaS products
- Very strong eye for what makes great UX. You regularly partner with design teams.
- Experience on the administration and security areas of SaaS products
- Experience with IAM, RBAC, and data management
- The ability to dive deeply into the technical understanding of how a product works. An engineering background is a plus.
- Must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working closely with design and engineering teams to deep dive into the details.
- Open source experience and knowledge of the Elastic Stack is also a plus
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Experience or willingness to work in a distributed organization
Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component.
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.
An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.
