Requirements
Role: CDL Licensed Shuttle Driver
Status: FT & PT, Seasonal, Hourly
Reporting To: Manager of Transportation
Provide transportation services for our Powder Mountain guests and employees. Driving employee shuttles, guest shuttles, and the Powder Country Bus! We will only consider candidates with big smiles and friendly demeanors.
Job Specification:
Role Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of shuttle buses and transportation vehicles.
- Operate shuttle vans and buses in all weather conditions on a variety of steep terrain in variable condition.
- Complete all pre and post trip vehicle inspections.
- Providing excellent guest service and relay in-depth knowledge of Powder Mountain terrain and facilities.
- Assist guests when applicable to get in and out of shuttle.
- Provide assistance with equipment and/or luggage for guests.
- Provide transportation of Powder Haven guests on a need basis.
- Communicate regularly with mountain dispatch.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous professional driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Active CDL Class B w/Passenger & Air Brake Endorsement - training will be provided if needed.
- Previous public transportation driving experience in winter weather conditions on steep inclines
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work a flexible and on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Basic knowledge of 2-way radio and mobile device use
- Ability to communicate in English
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectivly in emergency/non emergency situations.
- Collaborate with cross-functioning departments for safety of guests.
- Ability to get to Powder Mountain by use of private vehicle or commitment to UTA system.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Excellent vision and ability to drive at night.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
