JOB SUMMARY
UT Southwestern is actively seeking a skilled Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician for our CDAS & Controls team. As a BAS Controls Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and adjusting electric, electronic, and pneumatic HVAC controls to maintain optimal temperature and humidity across campus buildings. Conducts troubleshooting of building HVAC system programming and oversees emergency management system (EMS) or related software. We are seeking candidates with the following skills and experience:- Block programming
- Powers Process Control Language (PPCL)
- Building Automation Software (BAS)
- Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Experience with environmental control, and other automated systems such as Desigo PXC Controllers, BACnet Programmable TECs (PTECs), Siemens Apogee BAS.
- Proficient problem solver who can apply their knowledge and experience in utilizing electronics, DDC, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, pH sensors, flow meters, electrical meters and system control techniques.
- Active certification as Master Operator, Master Programmer, Certified Automation Professional (CAP), or Employment Ready Building Automation Technician Certification.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience
- 4 years of experience in HVAC DDC controls and related HVAC systems.
- Equivalent trade school training or combination of both.
- Licenses and Certifications
- Maintains valid State of Texas drivers license Upon Hire
- Maintains valid State of Texas drivers license Upon Hire
