Position Summary:

Join Acciona & Nordex Green Hydrogen’s global Power-to-X (“PtX”) Development team to support the build out of next generation green hydrogen projects and drive the new evolution of the clean energy transition.

As Project Development Manager for the USA market, you will be responsible for managing all development activities for a mid-stage multi-gigawatt PtX project located in Nebraska, with support from the Director of Development. This is an opportunity to work on a high impact project with an established foundation of site control and a local co-development partner onboard to assist. In addition, this role will support the Director of Development with a variety of USA portfolio-level objectives.

This position will be fully remote.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Lead the project development efforts for a giga-scale PtX project in Nebraska, in collaboration with an external co-development partner and with support from the Director of Development
• Manage the co-development partner to ensure they are meeting performance objectives while also supporting them with development work to advance the project through milestones.
• Manage multiple external consultant SMEs who support the project across a variety of specialties including but not limited to environmental surveys, permitting, public affairs, real estate legal, engineering studies, project design, water studies, and midstream transportation.
• Interface with internal SMEs including GIS, engineering, and legal, to provide project updates and request deliverables.
• Travel to site, on average once every 1 to 2 months, to meet with community stakeholders, such as landowners and public officials, to establish relationships and be the local face of the project for ANGH. Some international travel is required for ANGH all hands meetings, on average once or twice a year.
• Support green hydrogen and PtX strategy through staying up to date on industry trends, project designs, downstream product markets, policy, and competitive landscape.
• Co-lead regular project update meetings with the extended ANGH team and co-development partners
• Maintain project budgets, gantt schedules, and KPI dashboards.
• Assist accounting with tracking invoices and accounts payable related to the project.
• Support an additional greenfield development project (independent of our co-development partners), along with the Director of Development, and manage all aspects of the associated efforts (land agreements, consultants, etc.). This is a medium-term goal in the next 6-12 months.
• Assist with creating best practices and protocols for the growing development organization.

 

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor’s Degree and higher education level preferred
• A minimum of 2 total years of professional experience working in project development for utility-scale wind and solar projects
• Some experience in both wind and solar required.
• Minimum of 2 years of project development experience in utility-scale wind and solar
• Entrepreneurial mindset and independent problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of green hydrogen, ammonia, or e-fuels is beneficial but not required.
• Flexibility with travel based on the overall company objectives (>20% travel).
• Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

 

The pay for this role is exempt at $120k - $140k annually.  Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
