What You Will Do:
Collaborate with OHS and the prime contractor to identify BPI for the overall program.
Evaluate current business practices (As-Is State) and make recommendations (To-Be State) on ways to improve services to the Partner.
Apply continuous process improvement methodologies to improve quality, productivity, and response time business processes by removing non-added value resulting in a better product and service.
Review web applications in a cloud environment, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end and make improvement recommendations to OHS and their prime contractor. Make recommendations to OHS and their prime contractor on cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) including API, S3, RDS, EC2, SES, SNS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, Kibana, cloud.gov, and CloudFoundry.
Review the contractor’s development best practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment and make improvement recommendations to OHS and the prime contractor.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams who define, design, and ship new features.
Collaborate with OHS and the prime contractor to make recommendations on code quality, organization, and automatization.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum of FIVE (5) years of professional experience in software engineering or a related field.
Proven experience overseeing and advising on cloud-based development and maintenance of web applications.
Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Python.
Familiarity with development tools such as Atlassian Cloud, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, Subversion, Maven, VisualVM, FindBugs, SonarLint, SonarQube, CheckStyle, Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with the United States Web Design System (USWDS).
Knowledge of reCAPTCHA and other security frameworks.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
