We are seeking a talented and motivated candidate to join the Dynamic Systems Structures team which is responsible for the structural integrity of the blades, rotors, and drive system.
Typical tasks include performing structural and modal analysis, structural design, and fatigue and static test support. As an intern with Dynamic Systems Structures, you will have the opportunity to interact with Design Engineers, Material and Process Engineers, Suppliers, and Test Engineers to drive design to closure.
Basic Qualifications
-Enrolled in a B.S. Degree program such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
-Experience with Business Software Tools (Excel, Power Point, Word)
-Some experience with Engineering Software Tools (3D/2D CAD)
-Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
-Highly competitive and motivated to take ownership of commitments and meet objectives.
-Capable of managing complex tasks and drive them to successful outcomes.
-Exposure to structural analysis.
-Able to work on-site in Stratford, CT.
-U.S. Citizen
Desired skills
-Experience with aircraft components.
-Experience with CATIA V5/V6/3DX, ANSYS.
-Familiar with finite element analysis
-Ability to create Macros, VB, C++, or other programs to streamline complex engineering tasks.
-Ability to conduct structural analysis from a first principles perspective using free body diagram, and classical closed from equations.
