Electrical Technician
Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions is searching for an Electrical Technician to join our talented service and repair team to support maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations with physical and technical duties such as, but not limited to:
OEM Equipment Troubleshooting, Repair, and Testing
OEM Equipment Removal/Installation
Completion of Performed Service Reports
Under general supervision and on own initiative, performs standard and advanced MRO duties.
The Electrical Technician supports all project and task MRO activities necessary to fulfill specific contract needs. Candidates must be able to work in a shop environment during regular operational hours and/or contract specific off-premises job sites such as shipyards and ships/vessels. Technicians should have the ability to work on reciprocating, electromechanical, and rotating equipment in both unsupervised and supervised scenarios based on experience with equipment at hand. In addition, candidates may be asked to perform general shop duties when necessary. This role may require domestic or international travel (short and/or extended periods) according to project specifics and Curtiss-Wright’s workforce availability.

Your Challenge
Learn and understand functionality and capability of simple and complex equipment such as, but not limited to, air compressors, valves, and pumps. Emphasis on understanding equipment:
Electrical Requirement(s)
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Perform electrical system troubleshooting and support mechanically oriented tasks on various industrial grade equipment
Perform necessary MRO tasks on equipment installed on both commercial and non-commercial (e.g., Naval) vessels
Breakdown, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to technical specifications and manuals
Review and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings
Complete required reports and test documentation to support project deliverables
Ability to comply with governing industry standards while performing duties
Maintain a professional and task-oriented mentality while executing duties
What You Bring
High School Diploma or Equivalent
0-3 years of experience in a similar role
Experience with wiring, soldering, and assembling electrical components
Experience with general electrical lab equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, etc
Basic shop skills and understanding of common manual and powered tools
Hands-on technical capability and desire to understand electro-mechanical equipment functionality
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Ability travel up to 25%
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work overhaul equipment utilizing tech manuals and other repair documentation
Ability to work unsupervised on reciprocating, electromechanical, and rotating equipment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, able to go into tight accesses, and be able to go up and down ladders to access equipment
Expected to have or purchase basic hand tools
