About the role

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Department of Developmental and Molecular Biology (DMB) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions from outstanding candidates with an interest and expertise in fundamental and translational developmental, cellular, and regenerative biological research across a variety of areas and using a wide range of model systems. We are seeking applicants with a proven track record of research excellence that are addressing critical scientific questions with innovative and bold approaches.

 

Candidates will be considered for tenure-track positions at all levels. Einstein seeks candidates whose skills and personal and professional experience have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence in research, education, mentoring, diversity, collaboration, and to the communities we serve. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, MD, or equivalent degree, with a track record of research excellence.

Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain a vibrant research program that will be supportable by extramural funding.

Recruitments may be hired at all levels. Einstein considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the  base salary range is $130,000-$220,000.

Minimum Salary Range

USD $130,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary Range

USD $220,000.00/Yr.

Established in 1965, the Department of Molecular Biology (DMB) is currently composed of laboratories focusing on the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms in development, aging, regeneration and disease, using diverse model systems including Drosophila, zebrafish, and mice.
