Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2026 Systems Administrator Intern. In this role, you will focusing on systems administration and DevOps disciplines. In this role you will work in the following skill areas: Working on both Linux and Windows operating systems (Server and Desktop), bash shell scripts, Python, Java, FOSS/COTS integration, virtualized infrastructure, PKI certificates, encryption protocols, SSL/TLS, data exchange formats including JSON and XML, communicating with both technical and non-technical individuals and working on a team.
Required: Active Top Secret/SCI w Poly security clearance prior to start Summer 2026
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor's degree majoring in a systems/IT related major or any related technical major.
- Active Top Secret/SCI w Poly security clearance prior to start Summer 2026
- Knowledge of configuration management software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Knowledge of external authentication methods (e.g., LDAP, Active Directory).
- Knowledge of JIRA or other issue tracking tools.
- Knowledge of configuring and developing in an cloud environment.
- Experience with Agile work rhythms and participation on an Agile software or systems engineering team.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, PDQ Deploy).
- Knowledge of data encryption within a secure environment.
- Experience with with SQL.
