Salary: $75k-85k (based on experience and location)

Primary Purpose of the Position

The national parks in the Northern Rockies are the heart of globally beloved and recognized landscapes; they are the crown jewels of the National Park System. Decisions impacting the national parks in this region not only affect the parks themselves but also the natural and human ecosystems within which they exist. This is especially true for national parks in the Greater Yellowstone area.

The Senior Regional Manager (SPM) for the Grand Teton Field Office is a thought leader in Wyoming, the region and within NPCA. The SDM works strategically with a diverse array of individuals and organizations to build power and support for key conservation issues in and around Grand Teton National Park. The SPM tactically deploys resources and expertise to influence decision makers and drive national park related policy change on the local, regional, state and national level. 

The SPM works closely with the Regional Director and other staff to determine NPCA’s strategic direction on priority park and large landscape protection issues in Wyoming and leverage those campaigns within NPCA. The SPM is responsible for leading policy initiatives, power and constituency building, and strategic communication in Wyoming. This work requires working closely with NPCA staff at all levels as well as a broad diversity of individuals, including decision makers, agency staff, business owners, recreationists, sovereign nations and indigenous allies, community leaders, other conservation groups and the media.

The SPM manages all aspects of the Grand Teton Field Office for NPCA. In addition to programmatic campaigns, this includes community outreach and administrative coordination. The SPM works closely with the RD and RDD to identify and cultivate major donors and supports other fundraising activities as requested to ensure NPCA meets its local and national development goals.

As part of the Northern Rockies Regional team, the SPM actively supports regional colleagues, is an active participant in all regional meetings, gatherings and trainings, represents the NRRO needs and issues on organizational teams as needed and supports national campaigns and initiatives as requested.
