REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor

 

BASIC FUNCTION: Train and work with the team members. Assure beds are assembled in an efficient and organized manner, to meet customer’s satisfaction.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES: • Follow the assembly schedule and assign tasks to make sure shipments are made on time. • Understand and practice correct procedures for handling nonconforming material. • Keep all tags and paperwork organized on the line. • Monitor team members’ performance to insure maximum output of quality beds. • Check team members’ quality according to respective Quality Inspection Plans. • Help keep work areas clean and orderly through training of good housekeeping methods. • Understand and follow all safety and quality procedures within the departments. • Check to see if necessary repairs are made. • Hold toolbox meetings. • Understand and practice the policies and procedures for LP9000, and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity related to product, process, and the quality system. • Identify and/or record any problems related to the product, process, and the quality system. • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. • Verify the implementation of solutions. • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. • Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

• Communicate effectively; specifically, fluent verbal English.

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing and repetitive motions for a 10-hour shift.

• Well organized.

• The ability to be multi-tasked 

• Must be able to count & read well enough to identify parts.

• Must have good work attitude & ethics.

• Must be able to understand work instructions.
