Lead Product Designer, Member Experience

Summary of Position

As the Product Design Lead, your leadership, user empathy and UI skills will drive real social impact. You’ll work across mobile, web, and device user interfaces. Ideally, you’re a strategic systems thinker with experience building and maintaining design systems that drive quality and efficiency. Your core attributes include collaboration skills, the ability to influence and persuade others, and a strong drive to achieve results. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads and contributes to development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

• Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

• Focuses on providing thought leadership and works on broader organization projects, which requires understanding of wider business.

• Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

• Collaborating with Design, Research, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to guide the holistic product experience.

• Contributing to the development and evolution of our design system as we expand our offerings.

• Driving accessibility standards across design.

• Solving complex design problems through authoring and facilitating stakeholder workshops.

• Providing mentorship to other team members.

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

Qualifications Expected for Position

• 8+ years of experience in design.

• An outstanding portfolio that showcases your foundation in product design and design systems.

• Specific experience with mobile, web, and consumer devices.

• Exceptional visual and UI design skills. 

• An insistence on quality and design-for-impact. 

• Experience with complex design systems for growing organizations. 

• A strong understanding and commitment to accessibility. 

• Experience partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Brand.

• Mastery of Figma.

• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, InVision and Zeplin.

The base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
