About the role
Hermeus is an aerospace and defense technology company founded to radically accelerate air travel by delivering hypersonic aircraft. The company aims to develop hypersonic aircraft quickly and cost-effectively by integrating hardware-rich, iterative development with modern computing and autonomy. This approach has been validated through design, build, and test of the company’s first combined turbojet-ramjet engine and is now being scaled through its first flight vehicle program, Quarterhorse. Hermeus is also developing Darkhorse — an uncrewed hypersonic aircraft designed to deliver unique asymmetric capabilities to the warfighter.
As a Senior IT Support Specialist, you will play a key role in leading the operations of our Los Angeles, CA office, driving efforts to troubleshoot, configure, deploy, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, business applications, and other IT assets. This position will also focus on delivering exceptional customer service, prioritizing support tickets according to company needs, and ensuring timely resolution. We are eager for the rapid growth of our LA office in 2025, with this in mind this role will have the opportunity to be the sole "face" of IT department for the team on the West Coast!
This role will require the ability to work closely with remote teams while providing timely updates and support across time zones!

Requirements
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues in Windows and macOS environments, both in-person and remotely.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure (VPNs, firewalls, switches).
- Experience with Microsoft enterprise solutions, including Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
- Embodies a customer-focused mindset and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
- Proven ability to expertly balance service desk tickets andprojects of varying scope while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in handling escalations and conducting root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Familiarity with scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft (e.g., MS-100, AZ-900).
