Senior DevOps Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

Our end-to-end technology solutions cover a wide range of needs for Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, Insurance, Retail organizations, and beyond.</p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. </p><p>A Day in the Life of a <strong>Senior DevOps Engineer </strong>will include</p><ul> <li>Design and implement secure cloud infrastructure using Azure services to support scalable and reliable software deployment.</li> <li>Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines of Azure services related to AI and data-driven projects (e.g., machine learning model deployment, data pipeline development, etc.).</li> <li>Collaborate with development, data, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.</li> <li>Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.</li> <li>Oversee the performance, monitoring, and security of Azure-based services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Machine Learning, and other project-related services.</li> <li>Ensure efficient use of cloud resources and continuously optimize system performance.</li> <li>Manage Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring alignment with project timelines and operational goals.</li> <li>Implement best practices for source control, branching, and deployment strategies.</li> <li>Participating in technical design reviews and providing expert guidance.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with security standards and practices, including managing identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).</li> <li>Collaborate with teams to implement automated testing and deployment of AI models and services</li> <li>Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.</li> <li>5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on cloud environments.</li> <li>Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, networking, databases, Azure DevOps, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Event Hubs.</li> <li>Strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Azure Resource Manager, Jenkins or similar tools.</li> <li>Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep for automating infrastructure deployment.</li> <li>Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git, for managing and tracking code changes.</li> <li>Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Azure Monitor and Application Gateway for cloud performance management.</li> <li>Understanding security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), Azure Policy, and managing secrets with tools like Azure Key Vault.</li> <li>Knowledge of other containerization technologies (e.g Docker) and containers orchestration platforms is an asset.</li> <li>Experience with automated testing frameworks and deployment of machine learning models.</li> <li>Knowledge of security standards (e.g ISO 27001, NIST CSF) is an asset</li> <li>Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).</li> <li>Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams, with strong communication skills to drive DevOps culture.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Experience and willingness to work in an international/multicultural environment.</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of English language (written and verbal).</li> </ul><p></p><p>Additional Qualification, knowledge and skills: </p><p>Must have a relevant certification, such as </p><ul><li>Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert</li></ul><p>Nice to have:</p><ul><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Your Life @ Qualco </strong><br/>This role is a hybrid opportunity in Athens. </p><p>As a #Qmember, you will live out every day in a truly human-centered culture, based on mutual respect, trust, and cooperation.
