About the role
The National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for an Administration Support Officer to contribute towards the conservation and protection of the natural environment.
This Administration Support Officer role has been established to directly support the Ranger Team Leader by taking responsibility for their administration demands but also reducing those demands of the Rangers. Working closely with the Ranger Team Leader your organisational skills will be heavily relied upon to help schedule workflow, manage calendars and track due dates for set tasks to ensure the Ranger team runs smoothly.
This pivotal role provides a wide range of administrative support services to facilitate Ranger operations such as financial and records management, routine correspondence, meeting and event coordination, HR administration and reporting and purchasing.
About You
This role is most suited to people with very strong organisational and communication skills, enjoys working as a key member of a fast paced, dynamic team with a can-do, positive and helpful attitude.
You must have superior communication skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to meet deadlines and provide support within a busy, dynamic and diverse work environment.
You will have financial management experience and ideally have previous experience in a similar administration role with knowledge of SAP, records management CM10, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Your ability to work collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders will be highly valued in this role with the ability to prioritise and problem-solve.
Key knowledge and experience
• Experience in administration including experience in the use of computer-based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management systems.
• Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices, and contract administration.
