Embedded Software Engineer

Essential Functions of the Role:

 

• Develop firmware for RF Amplifiers
• Design and Implement State Machine on RTOS platform using C
• Implement device drivers using vendor evaluation kits
• Create an interactive GUI for external interface
• Perform System Verification and Troubleshooting of New Products

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Collaborate with Electrical/System Engineers to develop firmware requirements
• Implement multiple communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, UART, I2C, SPI)
• Tune system performance and optimize existing state machines
• Knowledge of version control tools
• Support program design reviews and status meetings

 

Key Competencies:

 

• KEIL MDK for development and debugging
• Proficient at Visual C++ for GUI Development
• Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking software
• Experience programming and testing high reliability, safety critical and fault tolerance systems
• Cortex-M4 ARM processors development experience
• TCP/IP application development and embedded web development

 

Requirements:

 

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Must be able to sit for an extended period of time

 

 

Pay Rate:

$125,000 to $140,000
