Senior Software Engineer, Simulation Infrastructure

The Simulation Infrastructure team creates reliable, scalable, and cost-effective Simulation-based products that evaluate the Waymo Driver's software stack at a massive scale. We solve complex technical challenges to build services and tools for a broad range of customers – Software Engineers, Product, Data Science, System Engineering, and more.

In this hybrid role, you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager

You will:

• Design features and systems.
• Write code
• Oversee production services and debug service issues
• Contribute to new projects for team-level system and feature development

You have:

• 5+ years of experience designing large-scale infrastructure platforms.
• 5+ years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure platforms
• 5+ years of experience maintaining large-scale infrastructure platforms
• 5+ years of experience programming in C++

We prefer:

• 5+ years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems
• Google Infrastructure knowledge

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
